The Group at Work

Response to Photography Essay

Photography has been a tool to document major events in history, and it is also used to create artwork. Some people argue one way, and other argue the other, but I consider photography to be both. While creating artwork using photography, you are also documenting what was going on at the time. In photo class senior year, I created artwork, but at at the same time, I was documenting my experience in photo class and my first semester of my senior year.
When trying to create art or document something using photography you should always have your camera with you, so you can get a picture at any opportunity. You should also consider basic design principles like contrast, balance, symmetry, line, shape, value, negative/positive space, and other effects, like shaking your camera, you could add to make you photo more interesting. In conclusion always have your camera,  and make it interesting, and eye pleasing, whether you are documenting or creating.
