Nature & Aesthetics of Design Reflection
Everything around us, was designed using different types of materials, resources, and techniques, and design restrictions. Whether the material be wood, stone, steel, the designer can find a way to create the product. An object/product can be designed, and made to be almost anything, that the client wants it to be. The material, and the overall desired look, dictates the process, a designer takes. Different, and easier, and cheaper, techniques(like carving, subtracting, melting, forming, etc.) have been created to altar materials, so that the end result will create what is wanted. The process of designing, creating and building that a designer, is to in the end have a beautiful product or piece of artwork. The role of a designer is to make people happy, by making daily tasks easier, with better functions products, and more enjoyable, with eye pleasing features.

Reflection of Cardboard Chair Project
This project was challenging to say the least. It was different, and made you really think about how you were going to do something. You had to problem solve and figure out how to work with new materials(cardboard), and strict guidelines(one 4x4 piece, and no glue, or cuts that subtract). The first chair was the most challenging because making a cardboard chair was something new and different I hadn’t done. The second part of the project were you had to create another cardboard chair illustrating a relationship you have with someone close to you. I thought this part of the project was really interesting and fun. It was hard to come up with a design that illustrated something, that wasn’t an actual thing or object, but a relationship. I was happy with my final design, and I thought it accurately represented my relationship. The final part of the project was to place your chair in an environment using a perspective drawing. This part of the project wasn’t to hard, and I was happy with my room drawing. Overall this project was difficult at times but, enjoyable at other times, and I learned a lot from it.
