Writer's Toolbox

In the first stages of designing the designer needs to some sort of preliminary brainstorming or sketching to get thoughts and ideas flowing. There are many different methods of brainstorming and some of those include; Mind Maps, Concept Maps, Free-writing, .Brain-wrinting, and Word Lists. Mind Maps and Concept Maps are similar in that they both include, text and visual, which can be helpful to those who prefer visuals. Brain-wirting is used in group projects; in a grid each group member writes down at least three ideas. Word Lists and Free-Writing are similar because both are just writing down thoughts and ideas as you think of them. All of these methods help a designer to sooner achieve a well-designed product.
